Al Masaood Oil & Gas facilitates provision of face masks and disposable suits to protect BGP employees against coronavirus outbreak in China.
The initiative comes in line with the ‘We are one with Wuhan’ campaign launched by the UAE in solidarity with China.
Al Masaood Oil & Gas Safety Supplies Department facilitates provision of 50,000 face masks and 1,000 disposable suits for the employees of its Chinese state-owned partner BGP, to protect them against COVID-19. The shipment of face masks and disposable suits was delivered to BGP, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum, during a special ceremony recently organised by Al Masaood Oil & Gas.
The ceremony was attended by Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Vice Chairman and Ahmad El Tannir, General Manager of Al Masaood Oil & Gas. The initiatives comes in line with ‘We are one with Wuhan’ campaign, which was recently launched by the UAE to support and express its full solidarity with China. The initiative showcases the commitment of Al Masaood Oil & Gas, a leading Emirati private company, in translating the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership in solidarity with China in facing the coronavirus outbreak.
The UAE government has expressed its full confidence in China’s proactive response and wise management of the situation. Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Vice-Chairman of Al Masaood Oil & Gas, said: “Our support with China is in line with our commitment to follow our wise leadership’s directives to stand in solidarity with the People’s Republic of China in facing the coronavirus outbreak.” Al Masaood said the firm is committed to provide the necessary supplies to deal with the outbreak especially that the UAE has reaffirmed its readiness to provide its available resources and capabilities to contribute to China’s effective efforts in this regard.
