The Canadian Drilling School (CDS) signed a service agreement with Al Masaood during ADIPEC 2015. The deal with the Abu Dhabi headquartered company will see CDS set up a training school at its facility in Abu Dhabi to provide training solutions for oil and gas personnel.
“Our courses will include IWCF (International Well Control Forum) Well Control, drilling engineering and safety courses such as H2S Alive and First Aid,” said Stephen Katulka from the school. The Canadian Drilling School, a privately-owned corporation established in early 2010, is based out of Alberta and British Columbia in Canada. It specializes in educating drilling personnel to the highest international standard with a variety of classroom and distance-learning courses.
“The International Well Control Certification is a state-of- the-art course designed to take your drilling skills to the next level.” Katulka told Pipeline on the sidelines of the show.
Al Masaood has full-fledged subsidiaries and showrooms in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Cyprus and Algeria. In addition to the Abu Dhabi main office and showrooms, the company has local branches and showrooms in Dubai, the Northern Emirates and the Jebel Ali Free-Zone.
Al Masaood also represents a number of international manufactures and oilfield companies.
